I’m Héctor Rubio, an online voice-over artist and dubbing actor since 2011, and an Industrial Engineer since 2000 (do the math, I’m no rookie). I started my dubbing career out of pure passion. I’ve always loved entertaining others, and that’s why I decided to fully dedicate myself to this craft. Since then, I’ve appeared on both the big and small screen, constantly working to refine my skills with every opportunity. From my home studio, I can record your projects with professional quality and in no time. Count on me if you need a mid-range voice, suitable for ages 25 to 60, with clear diction and strong interpretative skills. I can deliver corporate, emotional, and natural tones (the kind that don’t sound like a voice-over), as well as animated characters for commercials, podcasts, audio guides, audiobooks, events, and other multimedia channels. But hey, better ask me directly. I might just be able to do what you need. Maybe. I currently live and work in Barcelona. I collaborate with several studios and am listed in international voice banks in both Catalan and Spanish. Escola Catalana de Doblatge (ECAD)
I started in the world of dubbing in a two-year course and with master classes with renowned actors and directors such as Pep Anton Muñoz, Belén Roca, Gemma Ibáñez, Joan Pera, Luis Posada, Albert Trifol, Pepa Arenós, David Corsellas or Jordi Royo, Voice Craft classes with Helen Rowson and rhythm with Nan Mercader.

I took advanced lessons at the Sonigraf (VSI) studios in Barcelona and attended dubbing sessions as a listener, while I started my first steps in the world of professional voice-over for e-learnings and corporate videos.

Emotional Voice Over
I took acting and theatrical improvisation classes at Escuela Nancy Tuñon, and synchrony and dubbing oriented acting classes at All That Jazz and Sonygraf.
I started in the growing discipline of audiobook narration, attending the annual advanced level course at ECAD with directors and narrators of recognized prestige and doing some internships at MIUT studios in Barcelona.
In 2024, I’m taking part in the Specialization Course in Podcasting organized by RTVE Instituto, and attending several coaching sessions on “emotional voice-over” with the brilliant Juan Orellana.
I’ve definitely invested a good chunk in my training, gotta get some return on that, don’t you think?
